About the Event
Inge Persyn (member of the musical duo Maeshine) was born in Bruges and has embraced Bangor as her home for the past seventeen years. Her self-penned songs speak of love, healing, transformation, joy, nature and appreciating the beauty of each moment. She has set poetry to music for various events, including some of Gifford Savage's poems which she will be sharing in this joint session. Her music is a fusion of Celtic, classical crossover, folk and new age styles. Whilst playing guitar, singing bowls, tambura chord or Rav Vast drum, her heavenly voice vibrates with purity of heart, inviting the audience to move into a space of peace and well-being.
Gifford Savage is from Bangor, Northern Ireland. His poetry has been published in various journals, including The Storms, The Bangor Literary Journal, Lothlorien Poetry Journal, Agape Review and The New Verse News. He was included in the CAP anthology ‘Across the Threshold,’ has performed his poetry on local television station ‘Northern Visions TV’ and was winner of the Aspects Festival Poetry Slam 2022. He is a collector of stories of history, myths and legends.
