Immersive storytelling and animation collaboration
Supported by the National Lottery through the Arts Council of Northern Ireland
This Immersive/ Online Story-Animation Collaboration is an exciting exploration by the Armstrong Storytelling Trust into the digital sphere. It supported and developed the recent digital work undertaken by two artists, Vicky McFarland (storyteller) and Corrina Askin (illustrator/ animator) by commissioning a new cross-discipline piece of digital story art for young audiences.
The project created an animated story show which mixes live storytelling with projected animated characters and an open narrative structure to allow audience discussion, thinking and learning outcomes. The animated story show is projected into a dome, with the storyteller performing to the children while the images are projected all around them.
Using the professional skills and experience of these two artists, this show targets Early Years and/or KS1 audiences with a focus on emotional literacy and wellbeing outcomes.
This immersive storytelling experience is available for bookings and we are open to collaborative partnerships and funding to bring the dome to young audiences across Northern Ireland.
